Like it, Love it, Gotta have it!!

While I was browsing the American Crafts blog I found a really fun challenge. The challenge was to create a project including a recipe using 2 or more AC products. The winner of the challenge wins an entire current line of their choice!!! Can't beat that. I do not so a whole lot of cooking. However, I do LOVE sundaes! I decided to create a page of my favorite toppings from Cold Stone. I also wanted to incorporate a challenge I found on the Paper Issues blog. This challenge asked that you use scallops! Easy enough! I love scallops, they are so much fun!!!

Top journaling reads" I really love ice cream. Especially from Cold Stone! YUM. They have sooo many different toppings. My favorite right now is Strawberry Banana Rendezvous."

The bottom journaling reads "Ingredients Strawberry ice cream, graham cracker pie crust, white chocolate chips, strawberries, bananas."

I used several different AC products: Dear Lizzy firefly festival fabric paper, the pink scalloped circle (cut with spellbinders nesting dies) is from the enchanted line (I believe), several thickers(by the yard fabric[green], poolside vinyl[white], dolce fabric[teal]) remarks decorative accents in black and color sets 2 & 4, mini remarks ricky sidekicks, white galaxy marker, and Dear Lizzy enchanted ribbons. I also a recipe journaling stamp set from KI memories, an EK Success label punch, cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder(can't live without) and a letter set from sizzix. I cut the "Love It" twice from cardboard, once through pink fabric, ran through swiss dot embossing folder, and layered.

Get Sketchy Card Challenge

I can't believe it! I am already seeing Christmas things out in the stores. Walmart has already begun putting out the merchandise for Christmas before Halloween was even over. I was flipping through radio stations on my way to work yesterday and one station has already switched over to Christmas music!!! All this Christmas stuff has made me decide I better get a head start as well. So I began making my Chrismas cards for this year. Maybe I will actually get them sent out on time!! For my first card I used this sketch from Get Sketchy

This is the card I came up with. I used products from Cosmo Cricket. I like that the card is not traditional Christmas colors.
